February 2024: Red transferware challenge #2

Danielle Lord

A valentines day breakfast

Its month two of the red transferware challenge. For this sweet Valentine's day table, I mixed in Spode's jewel "Billingsley Rose" and some pink depression, I believe to be the Rose of Sharon pattern. I love how this sweet table looks, but I am always a softy for anything pink! Enjoy -

I love the vintage marmalade jar above. It has such a cute scene; it was a great thrifting find!

I set this smaller table for two and included the depression glass glasses and cups with saucers.

My husband Stephen, with his keen eye, spotted the Spode tea pot in an antique mall. It was topless, so priced at $20. Two vendor booths later, he spotted the top (!!) for $2. So, I got a Spode Billingsley Rose tea pot for $22.00 with the tea pot and lid a mere 12 feet from one another! Since I had saved so much of the tea pot, I splurged and purchased the creamer and sugar set.

The salad plates with pink roses and dark pink border were another great thrift store find.

So cute!

As always, its great to have you visit. Thanks for stopping by and sharing in a beautiful table. Please feel free to share a comment and share with others who enjoy beautiful tables. Later in February, I'll be sharing a stormy beach table setting. Until then, enjoy something beautiful, ~d
