Got to love it when a casual dinner becomes a blog opportunity! In this case: red transferware challenge #10.
I always loved riding in the cooler days of autumn. I think the horses did as well. There seemed to be more of a peppiness and alertness to them, perhaps, like me they didn't appreciate being hot.
For the October challenge, I paired this equestrian themed set of salad plates with my four red transferware dinner plates and included some contemporary silver julep cups, I mean mint juleps are great anytime!

I originally used many of these same pieces in the May 2023 blog for the Kentucky Derby themed table. I added Reed and Barton Bead flatware kept with the simple colonial feel of the table overall.

The large red transferware bowl and platter have made many appearances this year - the perfect combination for the challenge. I also included this great white pumpkin since it is October.

And a bit of cranberry glass...

Alright, challenge #10 complete! I am hoping to do one more table this month and am rather excited about red transferware challenge #11!
As always, thank you for stopping by to take a look around and appreciate the beauty of vintage and sometimes contemporary pieces.
