Vintage Christmas - tree to table

Danielle Lord

My muse: these beautiful vintage aluminum trees with tons of color as a lovely contrast! 12/30/2023 from https://www.pinterest.com/pin/302796774963385706/

I was inspired by these little vintage beauties to create a table with the same look and feel: a silver backdrop with lots of color.

Here are four of the six place settings. I used silver chargers and Noritake Crestmont china, a white china with a platinum band and tiny silver floral wreaths. I added a silverplate bread and butter plate and topped it with vintage Dorothy Thorpe coups: Bubble Clear.

Photos do not do these little beauties the justice they deserve. They have a wonderful iridescence that was perfect for the feel of the table-setting. They are on loan by our Nowvi sponsor, and I couldn't wait to get them re-wrapped and safely back in their box. And, of course Kitten had to make an inquiry about the table, which made me even more anxious to get them safely stored!

I included the remaining coups from the set as part of the centerpiece.

Here are a few more photos including the variety of colorful glasses.

The flatware is my grandmothers silver: Gorham Greenbrier, retired in 1991. I love its simplicity.

This is a set of Mary Gregory glasses. I love the boy and girl on these glasses, and they have an ethereal wintery feel -

Here are a few more -

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you enjoyed the table. I have another one coming soon, inspired by elephants and perfect to kick off the new year. If you enjoyed the blog, please share with others and until next time, enjoy something beautiful. ~d
